A patch with a strong adhesive that adheres to a variety of textile surfaces (except for some materials treated with water or dirt repellent chemicals and temperature-sensitive synthetic fabrics such as nylon, PVC, viscose and acetate). The repaired product can be used immediately after ironing.
The iron-on patch can only be applied to heat-resistant materials. It adheres stronger and more permanently than a self-adhesive patch.
Usage:
- clean the fabric to be repaired from any fringes
- cut the patch to a suitable shape so that the edges extend at least 1 cm beyond the repaired area
- round the corners of the patch
- iron the patch dry into place, preferably through a thin cotton cloth and at the highest possible temperature, pressing for 45-60 minutes. Do not use steam.
- Then iron the patch from the wrong side of the product, if possible.
- Let the patch cool down before using the product. This may take a few minutes. If the fabric to be repaired cannot withstand high temperatures, attach the patch to the fabric by sewing. If the area needs to withstand greater physical stress, we recommend additionally securing the edges with sewing.
