Product Description: Applique Foot

Function: The applique foot resembles a standard zigzag or all-purpose foot, but features a specially designed groove (tunnel) on its underside. When sewing dense satin stitches or using thicker threads, a standard zigzag foot often fails to feed smoothly because the thick layer of stitches builds up underneath it. This is exactly where the applique foot helps – the bottom groove provides ample clearance for the stitches to pass through freely, ensuring smooth and even fabric feeding.
Compatibility: Suitable for top-loading (horizontal bobbin system) Janome, Elna, and other Janome-produced sewing machines equipped with a standard snap-on ankle and a maximum stitch width of 5–7mm.
Note for other models: It can be attached to other machines as well (including front-loading/vertical bobbin Janome models), but please note that the needle position may sit slightly off-center from the middle of the foot.

Not suitable for: Bernina, Husqvarna, and Singer machines (as they utilize proprietary brand-specific snap-on systems).
