The ball-head (or flat-head) headpin looks beautiful with any bead. Thanks to its length, it is also suitable for use with larger beads, with a recommended maximum bead size of 40 mm. Pass the headpin through the bead, trim it to size, and create a loop on the other end. Making a loop typically takes an average of 6–8 mm of the wire. Use standard side cutters to shorten the pin and round-nose pliers to form the loops.
